After Care

If you have made the decision to undergo plastic surgery you must also prepare yourself for corrective surgery after care. We understand that you may be concerned about the events before and after the surgical procedure, especially those who have not experienced being in a hospital or a clinic environment before and you will be in need of reassurance and support.

Don’t think that once your cosmetic surgery procedure has been performed that our commitment ends there. “This is not true” Here at BDT we believe that after care is as important a part of the cosmetic surgery procedure as the surgery itself so it effectively starts well before the surgery takes place. We pride ourselves on our high level of post operative care and by partnering only the best private medical hospitals/clinics and plastic surgeons we can therefore guarantee you the highest possible standards of care and after care.

The after care plan is included in the fixed price of your plastic surgery procedure and as there are many different cosmetic procedures available, each plan is individually tailored to each patient’s procedure, needs and requirements in order that the quickest possible recovery is achieved.

Your after care plan may mean that you need to remain in hospital overnight to recuperate and you will be provided with your own luxury private room for yourself, never sharing. We will transfer you privately to either your apartment or hotel for your recuperation and rest and a qualified nurse will visit you every day to check your healing, examine the operated area, to change bandages or dress wounds in order to prevent infection and allow for optimal healing. Follow up appointments following surgery are scheduled with the plastic surgeon who will also check your progress and address any questions or concerns you may have. At all times you will be accompanied by a BDT representative who will offer you back up, re-assurance and advice at all times. We ensure that your recovery is as problem and stress-free as possible by providing you with as much patient information and care as possible.

You will have access available to help 24 hours a day during your stay as you will be given a mobile phone to use. Even when you are recuperating at home you will have telephone and e-mail support with the BDT co-ordinator and with the surgeon direct so that any questions or concerns can be answered 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Our after care personalised programme is designed individually to protect your health, your investment and guarantee your full recovery in privacy and comfort with as peaceful and restful a time as possible.

It is essential to follow all of the after care instructions given by a plastic surgeon before you are discharged from hospital in order to achieve the best recovery. You will not be allowed to leave the hospital until the surgeon is sure. You will be given instructions explaining what to do, what not to do, what to avoid and how long to expect being out of work. This will depend on the type of surgery and any special circumstances.
